Asked a lot. Quick answers.

Roughly 1 to 3 percent is typical for most accounts, 3 to 6 percent is strong, and above 6 percent is exceptional. Smaller accounts often see higher rates than large ones, since a more engaged, smaller following tends to interact at a higher percentage.

Follower count can be inflated or inactive, engagement rate reflects how many of those followers actually interact, which correlates more directly with whether a sponsored post will actually get seen and acted on.

This version uses likes and comments, the most consistently available public metrics. Shares and saves, when visible, are also strong signals and can be factored in manually for a fuller picture.

This is a single-post-in-time snapshot. The Analytics agent tracks engagement rate trends over time across your whole account and platforms, showing what's actually driving it up or down.
